Energy Assessments - As a key element of Save Energy Now, DOE conducts energy assessments to help manufacturing facilities across the nation identify immediate opportunities to save energy and money.
Case Studies - Read about companies that have participated in past assessments and are already saving energy and money with assistance from DOE technical experts.
Best Practices - Provides a number of resources for corporate executives, plant managers, technical staff, and the general public that shows how many U.S. companies are saving energy and money and improving productivity now. The site is oriented toward industrial facilities but some of tools are applicable to military base or campus utility provision. The site provides access to various software for evaluating overall energy use (Plant Energy Profiler) and for specific components, including steam; compressed air; chilled water; process heat; and motors, fans, and pumps. There is also a tool for evaluating feasibility of combined heat and power (CHP).
